A fundamental characteristic of Kneipp therapy is to consider the man as inseparable unity of body and soul. From this consideration is born the foundation that to improve the functionality, the resistance and the adaptation to the various needs of life, it must seek harmony of all the components: physical, intellectual and spiritual and to obtain that the body must be in perfect harmony and form. The hydrotherapy or "water care" is one of the essential components of the Kneipp massage and is based on thermal and mechanics effects that the same water fosters. Moreover, the whole being, body and mind, from this practice comes out particularly invigorated and relaxed. One more essential component is the phytotherapy: the Kneipp therapy original accompanied the bathrooms of the hot and cold with herbs which only, lavender, rosemary and chamomile. The other fundamental points of therapy are the diet, the movement and the life ordered.

The Kneipp path is based on the passage between two baths, where the alternation of hot (38°) and cold (18°) hydromassage allows to achieve an immediate positive effect on circulation and nervous system, also thanks to the pleasent feet-massage made by the small pebbles that cover the bottom of both.
The alternation between hot and cold reduces the stress and simulates body and mind.
